Dark Side Cookies

Modified Nestle Toll House recipe, we needed more chocolate around here!  

2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup baking cocoa or special dark baking cocoa (DH & I fight about this, I like the regular and he likes the Hershey's Special Dark, this photo is using half of each since we couldn't agree ;) )
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup butter softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet or white chocolate chips

Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in small bowl.  Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy.  Beat in eggs.  Gradually add in flour mixture.  Stir in chips.  Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 11 minutes. 

I am thinking of mixing in some graham cracker and marshmallow pieces in next time.  S mores cookies anyone?

  3. Those look yummy! I don't think I can pick one favorite cookie! chocolate w/ peanut butter chips, snickerdoodles, my mom's "orange cookies", I could go on and on!
